April 14, 2015 SF424 Question # 5: Where do I find my Federal Award Identifier? Leave this question blank.
April 14, 2015 SF424 Question #d: The zip code field is being problematic; it indicates that I am not listing a valid zip code. What should I do? When you enter a zip code, and receive an error message, you may still click “Ok” and the zip code that you entered will appear in the zip code box. (It will appear in red, but this is acceptable.)
April 14, 2015 SF424 Question #12: Should I use the same response from last year? Yes. For Question #12, the answers are:

“N/A”; and

“2012-2013 Amended State Plan Under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act.”

April 14, 2015 SF424 Question #19: Is the application subject to review under state executive order? The response for this question is “C.” The program is not covered by EO 12372.
April 14, 2015 RFA Forms # 8 and #15: For paper copies: Should I insert the attachments (class schedule; MOUs) at the end of forms that they are connected to, or at the end of the entire RFA? Please place the attachments behind the form that they support.
April 14, 2015 RFA Form # 15: I have several pages of MOUs. Should I include all of the paper copies or just the electronic one? Please provide both electronic copies and paper copies. If you have a large a large number of pages, you may make front and back copies to reduce the number of pages. 
April 14, 2015 PD Budget Form: What is the STAR Training Program? Who should attend? How much will it cost? STAR is... a professional development and training that teaches Adult Basic Education (ABE) instructors to use evidence-based reading instruction in the classroom. It will consist of the following:
  • Three 2-day in-state training institutes
  • Online learning and materials
  • On- and off-site technical assistance

At this point the cost will be travel and expense for the (3) - 2 day sessions (held at a central location). We will provide guidance on attendee profile and the selection process once PDR complete negotiations.

April 13, 2015 Are new organizations able to apply for a grant for FY 2016, or is this a renewal year, only open to previous recipients? FY 2016 is a renewal year. The grant is only open to current grantees.
